Peruvian Flat braiding is a form of finger weaving. In most weaving there are two sets of threads, the warp running lengthwise and the weft going across and in and out of the warp. In simple braiding there is just one set of strands, with one at a time being woven across the rest and then becoming part of the warp again. You can produce a tight or loose weave. This is a loose weave and although it was quite fiddly it is really pretty, and can be used as a belt or as straps or for decoration.
