Increase Stitches on a knitting machine

You can increase the width of the knit in small or large amounts. To increase a stitch at the end of a row , move the last 2 stitches to the side then hook the loop that is below the third stitch and place it on the empty needle and continue knitting.

to increase more stitches to the side wrap the yarn around the extra needles as if to cast on.
