From Architecture to weave.

This week I have had to pick 2 buildings as inspiration for a piece of woven cloth. I had a great work shop with Grainne, who gave the group this task.
As you can see from above we drew our building and then highlighted the structure like a skyline, this gave us the start to designing the weave line. The idea is to cut along the line and use it as a ruler and draw these lines using different pens, showing different textures. The line could overlap, be beside one another, you could do anything you wanted.

It was a very useful exercise. However I still had to translate them into a weave pattern!
