Felting polystyrene Balls

At work today I was felting polystyrene balls for Christmas

I wrapped the balls with wool top and wet it a little. I then put it inside a piece of net and rolled it around in my hands for a couple of minutes to start the felting. I added enough wool to completely cover the balls about 3ml thick.

I then proceeded to tie them into some tights and put on a hot wash in the washing machine to felt them tightly, ready for making into little animal baubles using the needle felt method.
